WSP AND THE INTELLIGENCE CYCLE
The Intelligence cycle, represented in the illustration, shows the different phases of processing and knowledge of the information. Starting for simplicity from the knowledge of the aims phase, decision makers, politicians or business people determine a request according to their strategic needs.
In this phase of planning in which information acquisition strategies are decided, a phase of collection and organization of the information follows. Only after these phases, the process goes on with the analysis and reporting of the real intelligence activity and the results are distributed to the applicants as well as all the other organizations that are supposed to benefit from them.
